You’re wandering through the trash-strewn, neon-soaked gutters of Dogtown, and suddenly your UI starts glitching. It’s that familiar, high-pitched digital whine. Most players just keep driving their Caliburn, thinking it’s a story beat or a random bug. It’s not. That sound means you’re standing right next to a Militech Data Terminal, the only way to actually max out that shiny new Relic skill tree.

Songbird gives you the basics. She cracks open the "corrupted data" in your head during the intro of Phantom Liberty, handing you three points like a dealer giving out free samples. Later on, she’ll toss you three more. But that’s only six points. If you want to actually unlock everything—we're talking about the Vulnerability Analytics that turn enemies into glass or the Jailbreak abilities that make your Mantis Blades actually feel like weapons of mass destruction—you need 15 points total.

That leaves nine points hidden in the dirt of Dogtown. Finding every single one of the relic terminals cyberpunk players hunt for isn't just about completionism; it’s about making V the terrifying urban legend they’re supposed to be.

The Stadium Scavenge

The first one is honestly the easiest to miss because you’re usually too busy looking at the overpriced chrome in the Black Market.

When you’re in the EBM Petrochem Stadium, head way back to the north end. Forget the vendors. Go past the statues of the three athletes. There’s a little alcove behind some shelving units. You’ll have to crouch to get in there. It feels like you're breaking the game's geometry, but the yellow terminal is just sitting there, waiting for a jack-in.

Kress Street and the Technicality

Kress Street is basically your home base in Dogtown, so it's fitting there are two terminals nearby. The first is stupidly simple. Exit your apartment building, take the elevator to the ground floor, and walk toward the fast travel point. It’s right there on a wall.

The second one? It’s a pain.

You’ve got to head into the Barghest Stronghold (an Increased Criminal Activity zone) southwest of Kress Street. If you’ve got a Technical Ability of 12 or 15 (depending on your game version's scaling), you can just walk through a locked door in the control room area. If you’re a "body and reflexes" build with the tech skills of a toaster, look for the floor grate. You’ll crawl through a vent, climb a ladder, and end up right behind the terminal.

The Voodoo Boys Hideouts

The Voodoo Boys love their data, so naturally, they’ve squatted on two terminals.

  1. Luxor High Wellness Spa: This is another "Increased Criminal Activity" spot. You’ll have to flatline a small army of netrunners. The terminal is tucked away in the back room of the spa, usually near a boss fight.
  2. The Overpass: Right across from the Heavy Hearts Club (the giant pyramid), there’s a ruined building. If you follow the stairs up and look toward the overpass, you’ll find a terminal sitting on a walkway. It’s got a great view of Mr. Hands' favorite haunt, if you care about that sort of thing.

Parked Projects and Urban Decay

There’s a parking garage south of the main Dogtown gate. It’s crowded, it’s dirty, and the terminal is on the second level. You can actually see it from the roof through a grated ceiling, which is a neat bit of environmental storytelling. Just take the stairs and avoid the scavs.

Speaking of scavs, head to Terra Cognita. This is the old "space" theme park. There’s a terminal inside the ESC Explorer Hall. You’ll have to fight through a bunch of Scavengers and a pretty nasty drone boss. Once the smoke clears, head to the upper floor. It’s in a back room overlooking the main hall where the spaceship model hangs.

The "Parkour" Terminals

A few of these require you to actually use your legs.

Near the Capitán Caliente restaurant (the place you go for the "Lucretia My Reflection" quest), look up. There’s a terminal on the roof of the "Brainporium." You’ll see some power cables—follow them. It involves a bit of climbing and jumping, but nothing a merc with decent chrome can't handle.

Then there’s the one near the basketball court where you first meet Solomon Reed. Don't just leave after the cinematic. Look under the bridge/overpass nearby. There’s a bunch of junk and graffiti. Tucked behind a makeshift wall is a terminal that most people walk past five or six times before noticing the beep.

Why You Actually Need These

It’s easy to think the Relic tree is just "extra fluff." It isn't.

If you’re running a stealth build, Emergency Cloaking is a literal life-saver. It lets you pop your Optical Camo during combat to make enemies lose track of you. It turns a botched stealth run into a "relocation phase."

If you’re a brawler, the Jailbreak perks for Gorilla Arms or the Projectile Launch System change the math of every fight. Being able to charge a jump-attack that creates a shockwave isn't just cool—it’s the difference between getting swarmed and being the swarm.

Moving Forward

Once you’ve found all nine of these hidden boxes, you’ll have 15 points. That is exactly enough to buy every single perk in the Relic tree. There are no "spare" points and no "wrong" way to spend them since you can respec the perks (but not your core attributes) at any time for free.

Go to your map. Turn on the "Exploration" filter. Look for the white Relic icons. If they aren't showing up, drive to the locations mentioned above until the "glitch" effect starts on your screen. That’s your signal.

Jack in, get the data, and stop leaving V’s potential sitting in a yellow box in a dumpster.
