You're gliding over the neon-soaked streets of Gotham, searching for that one last guy to finish "The Line of Duty." It’s frustrating. Honestly, miagani island firefighter locations are some of the sneakier spots in Batman: Arkham Knight. While Bleake Island practically hands them to you, Miagani plays hard to get. You can't just stumble upon them easily; you sort of have to know where the thugs are hiding their "guests."
The quest itself is a slow burn. It starts early at GCPD when Chief Lanning mentions his crew is missing. You've got 15 firefighters to find across the whole city, but Miagani holds four specific members of Station 17. Most players get stuck because these locations are tucked away in corners you rarely visit during the main story beats.
Finding Firefighter Green: The Mercy Bridge Ambush
Look at the foot of Mercy Bridge. No, not the top where you drive the Batmobile—go lower. Firefighter Green is being held on the eastern side of the southern support. Basically, he’s on a tiny patch of land right by the water.
This one is a total trap if you just dive in. There are about 10 thugs, and a few of them are packing heat. If you try to fight them on that narrow strip of land, you'll get peppered with bullets.
Pro tip: Park the Batmobile on the Miagani shoreline facing the bridge. Use the 60mm cannon or the Riot Suppressor to thin the herd from a distance. It feels a bit like cheating, but hey, you’re Batman. Once the armed threats are down, glide in and finish the rest.
Firefighter Hill and the Gotham Herald Building
Next up is Firefighter Hill. You’ll find him at the southeast corner of the Gotham Herald building. He’s tucked away on a balcony/terrace area that’s surprisingly high up. If you're looking for him at street level, you're going to be looking for a long time.
The setup here is a bit different. There’s a breakable wooden wall on one side. If you use Explosive Gel on that wall, you can take out at least one or two thugs instantly. There are about 10 enemies here in total. One usually has a firearm, so prioritize him. Use the environmental takedowns—there are a few electrical boxes and light fixtures nearby that make the fight much faster.
The Turret Nightmare: Firefighter Richardson
Kingston is home to Firefighter Richardson, and this is easily the most annoying spot on the island. He’s on a platform attached to the elevated rail track. If you just jump in there, you’re dead. Why? Because there are six sentry turrets guarding him.
You basically have two ways to handle this:
- The Remote Hacking Device: This is the intended way. You need to blind the turrets one by one or find the control console to shut them down.
- The Batmobile Maneuver: There’s a large door nearby that you can hack open. If you do this, you can actually drive the Batmobile into the station area and just blast the turrets into scrap metal.
Honestly, trying to do this with just fisticuffs is suicide. Wait until you have the Remote Hacking Device from the Stagg Airships mission if you want a headache-free rescue.
Firefighter Daniell at Wayne Tower
The last of the miagani island firefighter locations is at the base of Wayne Tower, specifically the southeast corner. This is another "island" location where the building meets the water.
There are about nine thugs here, and almost all of them are armed. It’s a nightmare for a standard predator approach because the space is so cramped. However, there’s a ramp nearby. You can actually jump the Batmobile onto the platform. Once the car is there, the thugs don't stand a chance against the Riot Suppressor.

Why You Can't Find Them Yet
If you’ve checked these spots and nobody is there, don't panic. The firefighters are gated by story progression. You can't save the Miagani crew until you’ve lowered the bridges to the island.
Also, a weird quirk of the game: sometimes the intel doesn't trigger. If you're certain you're in the right spot and it's empty, try clearing out some of the nearby Militia checkpoints or watchtowers. Alfred or the GCPD dispatch will usually pipe up with "local surveillance" chatter once the area is a bit safer.
Actionable Next Steps for Completionists
- Upgrade your Fear Multi-Takedown: Most of these groups have 8-12 enemies. Being able to take out 5 of them instantly makes these rescues trivial.
- Listen to the Radio: If you hear thugs talking about "the firemen" or "the chief," look at your map. A white pulse will often appear near your location.
- Check the Coordinates: If you're still lost, use the map grid. Green is at (2649, 2801), Hill is at (3042, 2472), Richardson is at (3304, 2688), and Daniell is at (3710, 2916).
- Don't forget Founders' Island: Once you finish Miagani, you still have five more guys and the Chief to find on the final island before the mission "The Line of Duty" is officially closed.
Clear the turrets at the Grand Avenue station first; it's the most common place for players to get stuck due to the hacking requirement.
