But if you pay attention to the dialogue—especially the stuff Lizzie Freeman (her new English VA) delivers with that raw, childlike urgency—you start to see the cracks.
Metis is basically the manifestation of the humanity Aigis tried to throw away.

After the protagonist dies at the end of the main story, Aigis is a wreck. She’s grieving so hard she basically wants to go back to being a cold, unfeeling machine. Her Movepool is Ridiculous
While Junpei is great for crits and Mitsuru is the queen of freeze, Metis just does everything.
- Physical Dominance: She gets Brave Blade and Akasha Arts. When you pair these with Power Charge, she hits like a freight train.
- Elemental Coverage: She has access to both Ice (Bufudyne) and Wind (Garudyne).
- Support: She eventually learns Matarukaja (Group Attack Buff) and Dekaja.
The best part? In Persona 3 Reload, she gets access to Theurgy attacks that make her Orgia Mode actually viable. In the original FES version, Orgia Mode was a gamble because she’d overheat and just sit there like a paperweight. In Reload, her Theurgy "Neo Orgia" lets her ignore HP and SP costs for several turns. It's basically a "win button" for mid-bosses.
Why People Get Her Wrong
A lot of players find her annoying early on. She’s loud, she’s aggressive, and she’s incredibly rude to Akihiko and Ken. But you've got to understand her headspace. She views the rest of SEES as the reason Aigis is in pain. To her, they are "the others" who keep Aigis tied to a world of suffering.
The character arc here is subtle. As you go through the Abyss of Time, Metis starts to realize that her "Sister" needs these people. Seeing her go from a feral protector to someone who actually participates in dorm hangouts (yes, she has those now!) is one of the best parts of the DLC.

Tips for Mastering Metis
Don't just leave her on "Act Freely" in the tactics menu. You need to be proactive.
- The Shift Synergy: Aigis and Metis have a special "Sister Boost" passive. If you hit a weakness with Aigis and then Shift to Metis, her damage output skyrockets. Always try to set her up for the finish.
- Focus on Strength: When you’re at the mall or using incense, dump everything into her Strength stat. Her magic is fine for hitting weaknesses, but her physical skills are where the real damage lives.
- Equip the Right Gear: Since she has no weaknesses, you don't need to waste her accessory slot on "Evade Fire" or "Null Elec." Instead, give her something that boosts her Critical rate or restores SP.
The Verdict on the "Sister"
Metis is the heart of The Answer. Without her, the story would just be a group of friends moping in a basement. She forces the conflict, she provides the muscle, and eventually, she provides the closure Aigis needs to move on.
She might throw a table at Ken in the beginning, but by the time you reach the final floor, you won't want to enter a boss fight without her.
