Jaguars Game: Why You Can't Find the Channel Today

Jaguars Game: Why You Can't Find the Channel Today

You’re flipping through the channels, maybe checking your sportsbook app or scrolling through social media, trying to figure out what channel is the jaguars game on today. You’ve got the wings ready, or maybe you’re just looking for an excuse to ignore the yard work.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you're looking for Trevor Lawrence and the crew this afternoon, Sunday, January 18, 2026, you won't find them on any broadcast.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are not playing today.

It feels weird, right? Especially since it’s Divisional Round Sunday. Usually, this is when the season is hitting a fever pitch. But for the Duval faithful, the 2025-2026 campaign officially hit a brick wall last weekend.

The Wild Card Heartbreak

Honestly, the reason there is no Jaguars game on TV today is still a bit of a sore subject for anyone who bleed teal. Last Sunday, January 11, the Jaguars hosted the Buffalo Bills at EverBank Stadium. It was supposed to be the moment the franchise firmly planted its flag as an AFC powerhouse under head coach Liam Coen.

The atmosphere in Jax was electric. People were actually believing.

But the Bills, led by a relentless Josh Allen, walked out of Florida with a 27-24 win. It was one of those games that comes down to a few inches and a couple of missed opportunities. Trevor Lawrence played his heart out—throwing for 207 yards and three scores—but two interceptions proved to be the anchor that dragged the ship down.

When the clock hit zero, the Jags' season ended. While the rest of the NFL is battling it out today in the Divisional Round, the Jaguars players are likely already home or starting their off-season recovery.

Who is Playing Instead?

Since the jaguars game isn't an option, you might be wondering what the rest of the league is up to. Today’s NFL schedule features the heavy hitters that managed to survive the opening round.

  • 3:00 PM ET: The Houston Texans are taking on the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium. You can catch that one on ABC and ESPN.
  • 6:30 PM ET: The Los Angeles Rams travel to the frozen tundra (or just the very cold grass) of Soldier Field to face the Chicago Bears. That matchup is airing on NBC.

It’s a bit of a "what could have been" situation for Jacksonville. If they had squeezed past Buffalo, they’d likely be the ones in the spotlight today. Instead, they’re watching from the couch just like us.

How to Watch the Rest of the Playoffs

Even though our guys aren't on the field, the road to Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara is getting intense. If you still want to get your football fix today and throughout the rest of the postseason, here is the basic layout of where the games live.

Most of the remaining playoff action is split between the major networks. CBS and Paramount+ handle a huge chunk of the AFC side of things. If you're looking for the NFC matchups, you'll usually find those on FOX or NBC/Peacock.

For the Monday night games or special Sunday afternoon windows (like today’s Texans/Patriots game), ABC/ESPN is the go-to.

Looking Ahead to the 2026 Season

It's tough to talk about the "next step" when the sting of a playoff loss is still fresh. But the Jaguars finished the regular season 13-4. That’s not a fluke. They won the AFC South. They proved they belong in the conversation with the elite teams in the AFC.

The off-season is going to be about refinement. We saw the run defense struggle against the Bills—giving up over 150 yards on the ground. That’s an area the front office is almost certainly going to target in the draft or free agency.

So, while you won't find the jaguars game on today, the foundation is clearly there. The team is young, Lawrence is maturing, and the Duval fanbase has more reason to be optimistic than they’ve had in a decade.

If you’re still itching for Jags content, your best bet is to head over to the official Jaguars YouTube channel or catch some of the post-season analysis on 1010XL radio. They’re already breaking down what went wrong and what needs to happen to ensure that this time next year, we aren't asking why the game isn't on.

Your Post-Season Action Plan

  • Watch the Divisional Games: Check out Texans vs. Patriots on ABC at 3:00 PM ET to see who represents the AFC next week.
  • Follow Draft News: With the Jags out, focus shifts to the 2026 NFL Draft. Keep an eye on defensive line prospects.
  • Review the Stats: Take a look at the final season leaders for the Jaguars to see where the team actually excelled versus where the "eye test" says they failed.
  • Update Your Gear: End-of-season sales are usually the best time to grab that Lawrence or Hines-Allen jersey you’ve been eyeing.

The season is over, but the work for 2026 has already started. We'll see you back at EverBank in August.
