[WIP] Experimenting with palettes

on: December 30, 2009, 03:35:34 pm
So uhh I found this sprite I made a while ago and noticed that I didn't like the palette at all, I changed it and got this

Then I wanted to try out something different and got this:

So, what do you think? Do you have any advice for the palettes? And which one do you like the most?

Oh dear lord. Palettes. Just do some searches here for "palettes" - top left search function. There's more information here than you'll ever need.
As for a fave palette. Most have a certain theory style they apply to everything they do, but picking the right palette for the job is what's important. There's no reason to limit yourself to any one palette for multiple projects. You use your knowledge of color and how it affects your viewers' perception to color anything you do so it makes the right impact.

I think I misused the word palette, because I didn't mean premade palette but the sprite's own palette you know? ;o
