Hey

been away a while again, thought I might post something again (or pixel for that matter)!

Just a small piece I made last night when I grew tired of Fable 2.

Made a Christmas edition too, just for you!

Im also working on this bigger piece, donno what I feel about it yet tho.. seems like it goes out of the style in the right part of
the picture. But here it is anyway, in progress...

Enjoy this dark season!

Wow, thats really neat!
but one thing I noticed is the light seems to be coming from the center of the picture, not the lamp the girl is holding.

Great start.

Made a sloppy edit to show what I think could be improved (backlit strands and figure and some shadows).

This is really good, but the light that has been dithered spoils the piece.

I think some of the aspects of the larger picture pull the eye away from the main image. When I first look at the picture I look at the moon, then the person with the lamp and then the isolated light you've just added. Whereas I think the focus needs to be on the person..

The thing about the larger picture is I want you to look at several mystic things, not only the girl in the woods. However I get your points and I was not sure about the dithered part neither, Ive taken away the dithering on the isolated lamp and im not sure what to do about the sun yet. Will keep in touch!

Thank you for the comments :)

Wow, an amazing small light! Definitely needed!

Actually 2 amazing small lights, these are really 2 great separate pieces (girl in woods + nightscape), but they just don't work together (yet?), I think.

Girl: the light spot on the ground might be centered on the lamp; mirroring the trees kills it a little. Bats hang upside down! (wait, are there any bats actually?)

Landscape: I'm not too sure about the sun, didn't even understand what it was until reading your post. From the nerdy side of things, sun and full moon mean opposite sides of the sky. Then, since the fog is white, you can't have some brighter light coming from behind, and I sure love that white fog.
How about just having the trees and hill at far right moonlit?

@manupix: I think they're owls

I'm really digging the sky, and I like the separate elements but as Manupix said, they don't work together. I think you need some way of directly connecting the two so the viewer's eye is drawn through the image :hehe: I'm having trouble describing here, I'll make an edit when I get home later.
Oh yes naked women are beautiful
But I like shrimps more haha ;)

'A small light for you guys in the darkest time of the year!'
A light in the dark.

Yet, it turns out the girl is not the only light in the world, just a lonely girl in a forest.
I liked the motion effect, feel, and message of it before. There was much more impact.
