Awesome job Helm, I love the hueshifts on that cable and the glowy golem kicks ass!
I will get onto my tile on monday (typing this from my flatmates ibook, no promotion here)

About the chesspiece thing, it obviously started as a fun thing Helm threw in there at some point and i added to it and he added to it. We thought about removing it, but came to the conclusion that it belongs to the piece now even tho it makes no sense at all (even less than the rest of the picture)

The whole thing is random to begin with and if it has something that resembles a composition than that's mostly due to luck as nothing was planned here. The only rational choice we made so far was that we should move the chess stuff over to the top left because it was making the thing too rightheavy being on the right.

We really need a blue highlight, or to say, we COULD have used it earlier in the design. Hueshifts are fine, but the glowy golem should have been blue blue blue bright blue white really. We can't rely on everything turning yellow when we want it to be lighter. Or maybe we can, for this piece, it's not like we haven't done more improbable unifications... Oh well.

Good point there, inclusion of white and a buffer colour to the brightest blue would help for cetain highlights for sure.

The lack of support for the big guy makes me think he's falling down in that instance of that time. I would think that support is optional, providing the picture isn't stable.
Extremely cool.
I'd say it's the best collaboration I've seen. :o
...Anyways, as soon as you finish this monstrosity....

Nice to see this brilliant tile collab still has legs. Watching this piece grow at pixelation is one of my fondest memories of the old hub.

This and the "I Hate Sals" fad is what made me want to get better at pixel art. Good to see it's alive again.
