Ok, it's done. I don't have more skill to make this work better.
Maybe you have some ideas?

Any critique?

Hi, smylek. It remains flatly shaded, essentially pillow-shaded. Give a lightsource some consideration. You're not thinking it through. Go for some veins, muscles, open pores, scales, etc type of flesh detailing. The body as is, even if correctly shaded, is uninteresting. Mybe yry some more dramatic hue shift in those ramps, perhaps even different colors, the ones you've picked are very typical.

I was trying to make something with this flaty shading. And this is what I have done.
Is it better now? Good direction?

It is better, but go a bit more "extreme" with the light source.

I also edited the colors a bit, giving it more contrast.

Yes smylek, that's moving in the right direction. And vierbit has already went and showed you exactly what I was getting at. Now, which version is most interesting to look at, and why?
