Yes you're right ptoing, it IS indeed a great game. In fact I played it only a couple of days ago. It's probably one of the best 2-player games on the Amiga (except for Rodland).

When we are already into Amiga games, I really like to post some screens from the game Cruise for a Corpse by Delphine Software. Those french guys really knew how to push pixels. The scenes are just so stylish and the vector animations are so smooth. It's a pity that the game's plot was so linear. I couldn't decide wich scrren to post so I just post a link to the Hall of Light entry: http://hol.abime.net/3134/screenshot

(except for Rodland).

Never much liked Rodland... Was pretty but I found the gameplay mechanics lacking.  Parasol Stars and Qwak were far better in the single screen 2 player platformer genre.  Mainly cos there was plenty of backstabbing potential in them...

Again while we're on the subject of Amiga graphics I gotta mention the color usage in Ruff N Tumble always impressed me.  When I saw previews back then I thought it was for the AGA Amigas only but nope it ran on the ECS machines.  32 colors per screen and makes me wonder if we really ever needed the millions of colors on screen later machines are capable of.  The actual sprites are chunky and very well animated, meaty explosions, decent sized bosses.  Good music too.

You know the backgrounds are made from vectors containing either pure colour or dithering between two ega shades? It's not real pixelling (in the sense that Out of this World isn't pixelled either) and that makes it even more awesome because it' s more difficult. Huge balls that artist had.

All ega-imagery pales to the ega background gustav did a few years ago on the old pixelation for an activity.

There are no ugly colours, only ugly combinations of colours.

So we're posting ega pictures now, eh? Space Quest III (http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/space-quest-iii-the-pirates-of-pestulon/screenshots) has some amazing graphics. Mark Crowe did a wonderful job with that game. That picture by Gustav is cool too. I can't believe that it is and ega picture i'm looking at.

All the animations/sprites from Flashback, Heart of darkness, and Z (which I think is also a bitmap brothers creation).

Oh, and Earthbound!
