wolverine

on: March 05, 2006, 06:39:45 am
I'm having another shot at the background competition. I'm going to do the whole thing in 16 colors.
As practice, I drew Wolverine. C and c please.  ;)

Modern artists are told that they must create something totally original-or risk being called "derivative".They've been indoctrinated with the concept that bad=good. The effect is always the same: Meaningless primitivism

Please don't save the pixel-art in JPG Never!!! gif or png!!

About the image is a good quality and a good design, but if you have the original image, post in png o gif and remove this.

Matriax -  I got this with my other post. I use image bucket to host images, and even though I upload bmp or png, some people's browsers see jpg. I never see jpegs though. Maybe try the following this link:

Hey Silver. Thanks for compliments. What are 'flods'?

I worked on the background, happy with it. I'll post it on the competition once I've run it past you guys.
Anything that could be improved? I've still got 4 tiles. What could be added?

Edit: And the reference photo looks like its on a hill - so this one is on a slope too.  :)

You're using too much colors for the skin tones.

It's the wrong perspective if you're planning to put this into the competition.

Andy - You're probably right, I made too few grey colors.
Blick- really? I think I've got the right perspective. Remember it's a hill.

the perspective for the most part is right.. it's just you dont have anything projecting backwards.. youve got four tiles left and doing this would greatly improve its kook

I had a crack at adding more depth and submitted it. Thanks for your ideas.
