In my newest version (post before ur post) the scar is easy to spot.

I don't really like your edit, he doesn't look cool or something ( no offense ). The hood is a bit too far away, I admit. I don't really have a problem with the waist, ur edit make it look a little like a midget or something.. :P

I think I still stick to my newest version.

About the background story, I didn't really came up with an idea really. I just wanted a badass main character, in a actiony game. He'll have a cool-looking weapon, so I think I'm going for a slicing maniac or something :P

Did some shabby edit. I fixed the character's awkward stance.. and you really need to check the some tutorials regarding lines and curves. Your character has already a defining look and that is his hat.. you should simplify the rest that's why i removed that shining belt buckle..

hmm this is frowned upon, but i added few colors for some AA for such a small sprite... Just experimenting

How about putting a big shadow under the hood?

Looks like a great edit, and don't get me wrong: yours is perfect, but I was just aming for a simpler style. I know the stance is awkward, I just quickly threw in some legs and arms, I will still fix the stance.

Dude, seriously: don't ask for critique if you're not going to use it.
