Simple ball with reflect

I made recently a ball :P to train shading and reflection. So how do you think, is it good?

A bunch of things could be improved. The main two are that as you have it it doesn't read round! and you've a metric tonn of unnecessary colours! I did a quick edit as to how it could be improved useing your colours (just less of them).

Also, I wouldn't worry about adding color until you master basic volumetric shading. Really, the best start for any pixeller should be pen and pencil drawing. Easier to start with, get the basics in order. http://www.drawright.com/ is a great place to start.
