Isometric House [C&C NEEDED]

on: August 22, 2009, 10:37:36 am
Hi,
I just tried to make an isometric house. It's not detailed (yet), because I don't know if it's right now...

The roof looks kinda weird to me... Help please?

It's VERY boring. its just a box, make it different, add a garage, maybe a porch. why not a balcony and a addition on the side.

Currently only issue I see is that and choice of color. its a REALLY red roof.

Also.. with the roof.. you don't put shingles on the side of the roof too. So it shouldn't be red on the triangle spot.

Oh of course! That's bottering me about the roof :O Thanks,
I know it's boring, I didn't add detail. Have u already noticed the building has no windows or even a door? :O :P
It was done on purpose.

Also, the color choice was too bright indeed. Maybe this is better:

If this is okay, I'll add details. Thanks for ur reply.

Oh, I just noticed the outline of the bricks on the right side of the building has dissapeared :O

Added the windows + a door, if this is also nice, I'll add a garden or something :)

shouldn't the bricks vary in color just a little bit? Surely all the bricks used in the house weren't duplicates. They should probably be wider too and don't forget bricks on the corners of buildings kinda 'weave' together the two joining walls.

Also your lightest wall has a very bad mosaic effect which makes it stand out too much (Colors and contrast).

Also pretty sure the roof tiles would hang over the far edges of the building. Just a bit.

Is this roof+brick mosaic problem thingy better?

I haven't yet made color variation for the bricks.

Windows are made of colourless glass and will appear blue only if it reflects the colour of the sky, but when seen from isometric or any other top-down angle the windows can only reflect what's on the ground (or they are see-through).
