hooded figure rpg sprites and tiles.

on: March 05, 2006, 05:41:40 pm
will be doing the left and right poses soon

once i did these i really liked how they came out.
c+c is appreciated :)
[update]
gave it a proper background and tidied up some things on the facing north sprite

an update:

finished the side poses and another pallette form(not to sure about it, the first one has almost complements but you cant really have a complement of white)

the tiles of course, the reflection is just there, but if it were to be in a game it would be like coded or something.

Cultist! Ehrm ^^; He looks quite good, nice folds; but you MUST display him on a proper bg color. The white and yellow makes it extrodinarily hard to see. Try any darker color...or grey, grey usually works well.

The Yus bird's beak doesn't taper. It's kinda blunt, like Toucan Sam's.

I think the darker sprite is too dark, so there is not much room for detail, and where there is detail, you can't see it without having to zoom in. Make it a little more bright, imo.

well, i think its petty bright considering its supposed to be a black cloak. also the yus bird was just a little joke. of course i think i might have changed the black ones pallette since then.

a tiny update, added some glass floor tiles.  id definitely like to know if they go with the sprites both in style and in quality( think of what im working on as a portfolio piece if i was like 5 years older)

Well, if you really want to keep it as a black cloak, then so be it, but be sure, if you use it in a game, to put it on a light bg. If you don't mind about it being not black, I would change it to either a dark green, or navy blue. It would still give the darkness you want, with the visibility that everyone else wants.

Good job on the new sprite, and the reflection btw ^___^
