Some sort of sword

Getting started with pixel art, this is my third real attempt. Any help or criticism would be appreciated!

Most obvious thing is that the butt end of the sword is way too large.  Make it more proportionate with the rest of the hilt and it'll be a huge improvement.  It's actually not bad for a third attempt ever.

I lengthened the hilt and made the end a little smaller, I think it looks better now.

Give darker shading near the edges of the hilt to make it "round"

here's an edit showing how to make the hilt look round. i kinda got carried away making the edit and also reduced the color count a little.
