Beholder fo' fun

It's my first pixel art in a while and I haven't been on this forum in forever.

I love the emoticons. So great.

Anyway here's my beholder. I don't want to spend more time on it (it was just for fun) but I would still appreciate criticism because I might learn from it!

I think it looks too flat. I think I need to either work bigger or not try to cram in so much detail.

(Each eye has a different colour, even though you can't really see it. Yep, it's pointless.)

I commented you on pixeljoint, although I didn't cover up any in-depth criticism... I really don't find any major problems with it... maybe making it a little bigger, and the colors a little lighter, but then again, these really aren't major problems... not to say, these issues are really small, most people might not even really bother with it. In other words, I think this is fine.
