$100 Game!

on: June 15, 2009, 01:29:07 am
im skinning the game in this topic here ->
its for $100 so i want this to look as good as it can.

heres my demo so far -> http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JB76L4CZ

and heres a screenshot for those of you who are to lazy to click.

to do list:
- change glow on the tiki's to palm leaves blowing in the wind, the glows are holymonkeys
- change bananna 'take damage' graphics, those are holymonkey's too
- see if i can restore the last scrolling layer of bushes that i accidentally messed up when i was figuring out transparency

crits?
again i want this to be the best it can be.
- Eck

I'd use more AA if I were you and less selout. Otherwise, everything seems to be progressing nicely to me.

The whole mockup is very plain, without really achieving the vexel look, which leaves little excuse for the sparsity. The ground texturing is really bad, suerely it's WIP. I'd just like to see more graphical richness. Where's the giraffe's lower body?
You have a really cool style going, but I feel it's potential is far from met. And no I haven't played your demo, I can't at the moment.

<I think it is basically boring looking. I would think more if it looked like someone spent more time, invested a little more creativity in it. This statement by Josh, and I dont approve the storefront of this game>   (got a friend's quick opinion on it, too)
