Girly man

on: June 12, 2009, 11:59:57 pm
Got a lot of help for this a while back. But now I feel he's a little too young looking and girly, I'm aiming for an 18-20 year old looking guy. And More masculine.

Probably going to edit his hair into something that doesn't look like it came straight out of an anime.
The old one is on the left. Dunno what else I can do.

You could define his features a bit more; eyebrow shape, forehead, jaw, etc.

Make him look more chiseled and hard rather than soft and cuddly.

Changing the colors might aid, when you do this, too. More contrast or something. I'm not sure though. They're just so 'soft and cuddly' right now.

A five o'clock shadow and sunken eyes would be one of the easier ways to age him, some expression could probably go a long way, maybe broaden/raise the shoulders?. The head doesn't seem to connect to the neck very well. Not certain on this but the ear looks misplaced. Looks like the left cheek (ours) is puffed out.

Have an edit!

Pretty self-explanatory I think. Let me know if you'd like me to explain anything in detail.

Thanks!

I think a 5 oclock shadow would make him too manly.

i'm having trouble explaining what i've done exactly, besides narrow the eyes and lengthen the jaw. I think you should match the length of his ear to the length of his nose, also, mess with the hair some more. I think the hairstyle is part of what makes him look like a kid, but you wouldn't have to change it much to fix that.
