5 good artists on one forum vs 200 newbies = a very crappy forum. I don't see how wasting time on a forum where you'll get scarcely good crits and where all other threads are lousy can be a fun pass-time...

Because I have friends there. Obviously, Im not going to get fantastic crits when posting there, but its nice to talk with friends etc. The artists on the sites I like know each other and are pals.

Next question: What's with the silly sample tags on everything? I can't even see what you draw...

What I draw? I thought it would be presumptuous of me to use my own work as an example, so I used others. The reason the text is on there is to stop people from stealing the art. I dont agree with the practice becuase a competent artist could remove them pretty easily, but its sickening how many idiots think they can just slap their name on something and use it themselves. Its just some peoples way of having a sense of pseudo security I guess.

So noone gets to see the full art, ever?

Because, really, that's like putting an expensive painting in a safe, and never getting it out...

Only when its done and someone is using it. Until then, when people want crits, they dont want others to steal.

Dont ask me, the idea is flawed, but like I said, its pseudo security to them, makes them feel secure I guess.

I don't think that comparison holds up very well.
There are no ugly colours, only ugly combinations of colours.

The best comparison would be a gallery full of posters with tags that say "Real painting is in security safe", that's even lamer

That would exclude the possibility of seeing it Gil. Many samples are transperant, and dont cover the whole sig. Why are we arguing about this?

Boredom mostly? Let's leave it at this, I don't really feel like arguing anyway :)

Sorry for the disturbance, carry on people :D
