The new smilies are...coming.  Or so says Ptoing.
Peppermint Pig is...busy.  Or so say people who can't get in touch with him because he's busy.

[EDIT] Sweet; I've started the past two pages of this thread :-P [/EDIT]

So I am working on a computer program, and in this program, there is a bar. It starts out with a base color, and people must be able to paint segments of this bar with one of 15 other colors. I am looking for a good pallete for this, and it has the following requirements:

1) The base color must be very distinguishable from the other colors
2) The base color must look like it's in the background
3) The other 15 colors must be distinguishable from each other and from the base color
4) None of the colors can be white or black, since I use black for outlines and white for the overall background color of the application

While I am working on this, I am using the c64 pallette just for fun ^_^ The problem is that, while it is a good pallette for art, it isn't a good pallette when you want 15 distinguishable-at-a-glance colors.

Anyone have a suggestion for me? =)

I'll be back soon. Promise. I've been in the process of moving, and now I've moved, and I still don't have an Internet connection... So... I'll be back soon. I hope.

After the horror I experienced when finding out about bad megaman sprite comics and the abomination that is Sonic sprite edits, I present to you the mother of bad art: Runescape sigs!

Hmm.. I trying to think why people who play runescape usually go onto pixel art.. (not noting the fact I did play it at one point) but then those who always pixel (poorly) their character in the beast armour with the greatest weapon.. regardless of the fact they don't have it!

 ???

Those kinda runescape forums are like breeding grounds for new pixel artists really. Its how I got interested myself. Its not all crap to be honest.

Random:

Etc. There are dozens of beautiful pieces of works on these forums, but sadly, theres 10 times as more people asking for ratings of their first pixel art.

Yea, you have to sift through alot of crap, but on any large runescape forum, theres always 4 or 5 good artists.
