Spaceships for RTS game

I'm making this RTS game and I'd like to improve my pixel art for the ships in it. If you can help me, thanks.

FYI, the purple one and the last one are alien. The others are human, although of different factions.

The game is very cool and unique.
I like the idea of a RTS Shmup, very cool.
I like that you can control your squad pretty decently.

As for the ships I think your trying to pack too much small pixel detial into these.
And it's kind of making them messy and hard to read the actual shape.


You have two colors that look quite a like and at 1x zoom you don't see that detail.

Very interesting ships. Why so many? It may be hard to differentiate between them in-game.

What are you using to make your game? What development kit, etc?

If you read around my forum you can find it. But since this topic is here for the sprites, not advertising, I'm using game maker 6.1.  :)
I'm making so many because it's an RTS. I need a lot of different unit types, and besides, not all of them have the same purpose.

That, and that those are all of the fighters for the game(the last 3 were cruisers, but...). There aren't going to be any more fighters. I'm on to capital ships next.  ;D
