Help with Cliff

I'm having really difficulty making the texture of the cliffs I really need some help

No particular references I'm using just various pictures but I can't make it happen so I really need help

Cliff tiles have been done a million times in games already. Use games as reference, not real pics, since you're still stumped. You should be able to discern what works and what doesn't, then hopefully apply that to your own stuff.
