FINALLY, it's in a month I can participate in. I hated it when they were during winter and summer breaks, when I'm not available. Now if I just get time, that'd be great.

Awesome!! :D:D

I would definitely do this, but I don't have any vacation time in March. :(

I'll get teams together though!

I've never participated in one of these, but I'd certainly love to give it a try. I already know that I'll be busy with other projects, but I may be able to work something out.

I'm going to enter, but our team still needs a 2D or 3D artist.  The earlier you agree to help, the better.  We can decide ahead of time what tools to use and / or how to use them.  For example, my musician wants to use MP3s, so I'm going to make a program to help him loop MP3s before the compo starts.

If you're a 3D modeler, I need to develop the exporters you want, and if you're 2D, we should go over how to use tile editors if necessary and decide what kind of 2D engine you want to work with.  :)

Remind me again. Gamemakers like The Games Factory are allowed in this, right? Or have the rules changed since three years ago?

Is it just me, or has this competition fallen from the "pixel" core? Everyone seems to be making 3D games or pre-rendered 3D sprites. Egh ... I'm not entering. :(

I also can't believe you people still use Clickteam products. Thats fucking sick.

Last time, I think all the teams made 2D games, and 2 solo developers made 3D games.

Yes, most were 2D, but weren't all pixel-art.

I'm rather interested in this, I'm in a game authoring class this semester. The only problem is the competition falls quite near the finals week but I'll see if I can get my professor to give extra grades for the class for people who enter this competition.

The rules say you can... but the rules are also contradictory. They say it's okay to use game makers, but the other rule says you can't use anything that controls gameplay or physics, code that controls sprite graphics for you and such, and most game makers do just that.
