I made this primarily to suggest ways to get better mileage from your colors, as it stands right now your value range is quite limited. That in conjunction with the hues used for the skin tone give it a clay-like appearance. The smooth texture of the skin on the reference picture appears lost along with it. Upon finishing I realised the futility of making an edit of a piece with a direct reference, but maybe this can also give you a few pointers as to likeness.
I may also recommend obtaining a copy of the book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain". In actuality though I found that book only as helpful as it's mantra, "draw what you see, not what you think you see". It's still a struggle trying to achieve the zen necessary but that's what makes the whole thing fun.

one side of the lip (our left) looks larger than the other, that's what distracts me the most. And the lack of eyebrows. I think the nose (perhaps just the nostrils) could be wider. It looks like you're giving her much more upper eyelid than is visible in the reference photo. I also think you should try to show more of the teeth, as cow did in his edit.

I think you should pay more attention to relative values: The highlights on the lips is only as bright as the forehead and the nose.

I think i've fixed everything that was pointed out..
i'm going to try and make the colours blend more..
I'll try to dither it, if that doesn't work i'll change the colours

i think, her eyes are under defined, maybe add that last bit on the bottom of the eye, the iris shade. and the bandana the light shade should make it to the middle.
i know theyre pretty little, dont have much time, to go into depth
