ISOMETRIC main character

on: December 18, 2008, 08:37:12 pm
I'm working on a character for an iso game, but I think is not good enough ??? I personally don't like number 3, 5 and 7. Please, critique.

Edits will be aprecciated.

By the way, I'm new over here.

Are these walking sprites?  The reason I ask is because it looks like number 3 is at a different angle then all of the others in the first 1-4 category.

Yes, they are walking cycles, from a front-isometric view and a back-isometric view.

You'll also need to add a fourth step frame for both the views, where the character is bringing it's left leg up front.  Otherwise the character's walkcycle will look funny.

In all of them the kneejoints appear too high, and perspective turns off at some points. Also, the bigheads may be fun, but they require the poses to be entirely in balance, and most of them aren't.

Oh by the way, this was ripped from me. This isn't even an edit, I made this sprite. Thats pretty lame, dude. Then again, I'm not exactly proud of it.

I'm working with Bloop on a project, and these are placeholders.  I was late to the game, and he never told me where he'd gotten the sprites, I assumed he made them.  Didn't think he took them from someone else.  :-X

So he's asking edits to use those rather than making something himself as well eh?:P

Bam, strike!

Posting someone else's sprite without explicitly expressing that it's not yours is simply too ignorant behaviour, even if you're new. Now please explain the situation clearly so we understand. You want edits of Joshua's sprite so that you can make your own later? I don't get it and you need to explain this.
