So I tried a really unusual shading style and i really like it, but it's still nowhere close to done. I really like the front on pose, I think a lot of detail can be put into it. I really wanna hear what you guys think.

I'd take another look at Elk's edit. Block out general areas of light and shadow before worrying about dither patterns. and define a definite light source.
right now you've got very small areas of highlight and very small areas of shadow. these should correspond roughly to your brightest highlights and darkest shadows, but there should still be other areas of highlight and shadow that aren't as extreme.
try to define the forms with your shading and not just the line work.
Elk's edit is probably more helpful than any of my rambling though.

Well I'm really going for a more cartoony stylized type look, but I am tying do define the light source more. The source is supposed to be coming essentially from above him. (Well Slightly behind him) I think I'm nearing completion at this point.

Elks edit was pretty instructive. Even if you're going for a cartoony style, his edit is still valid because it defines the volumes much better.

Here's the problems that stick out to me the most. In order.

A. The vertical line here seems to have no real purpose ( same for the other side ). My only guess is it's to define form, but then you highlighted the left side of it for no apparent reason. Judging by the mouth I would expect this to be in a shadow ( since the light source seems to be coming from above ). This is confusing to the viewer.

B. The top of his head is highlighted, but what about those ridges? You would expect them to be highlighted too because they are sticking up.

C. Based on the highlighting, I bet if I did a 3d extrapolation of that pectoral it would be sticking out of his chest 1-2 feet.

Well "EvilEye" I'm trying my best to make Light sources work while following my own style. The problem you labeled as (b) I think made look a bit better. I think I fixed the problem you labeled as (c) by moving the entire pectoral muscle up a few pixels, because you were right about that. The rest I feel is my own stylistic choice that I rather like. I would like to thank everyone for helping me along the way. (And all because I didn't do exactly the things you suggested it has given me ideas as where to go next.) I feel I'm done with this piece and i find it fairly satisfactory.

The final result is as follows.

Ps: I look forward to all comments to it on Pixel Joint, I should hope fully have it up by tonight or tomorrow. I also plan on revising the Fable Troll I made a while back. I think that'll be my next project... Alotta' people liked that  :)
