Tile...Er...Cube set for project <WIP>

on: November 04, 2010, 07:41:10 pm

Aight so i guess tileset wouldnt be the correct phrase for this, but it will eventually serve the same purpose.
You can prolly guess how the game will be built at this point, but i just wanted to get some opinions on this,
Although i am nowhere near being done with these.

I feel like the grass/dirt tile doesnt look cartoony enough. Can anyone help me achieve this?

I would sort the shape too, it looks skewed, more cuboid than cube.

Read this (http://wwww.drububu.com/tutorial/) or similar to get a good idea of creating isometric work. Regardless of the angle you want to take the cube's shape needs to be solid before moving to coloring/lighting etc, as no matter how good everything else is, a fundamental flaw always sticks out horribly.

Well the important thing here is not the shape. I adjusted it around the player, and each level is going to made of these. All i really need is decorative shape. I know they arent exact "Cubes", but i wasnt trying to make perfect cubes from the start.
