i like the tunic color and all but the face is kinda weird

Hey, a partial edit.

I think you could concentrate less on lines but more on the masses, raise the contrast up so that it's more defined, and do something with the straight legs. I made his shield hand green so it wouldn't take visual priority, but added a lighter shade to make it still visible. I changed his expression because I've always liked WW Link's expressions and this one makes him look sort of curious and peering over the shield. Link never really just plain smiled, there was always something else going on.

I made this edit based on Atnas' sprite. I tried to capture the wind waker feeling - tiny feet, the facial expression and a more curvy backbone. The idea of a sidescroller-Zelda in wind waker look is great!
