Playing around with fighter sprites

on: October 25, 2008, 01:42:07 am
I'm playing around with fighter sprites and thought I'd post them. Gonna play around with animation too, cause I need to get better at it  ;D

Here's my first one. With this I used Third Strike Ryus pallette, I've strayed off from it a teeny-tiny bit.

Original Silhouette:

First coloring:

Here I've tried a few different things to make the sprite look better:

I think the second one turned out best, but a second opinion is always good.

I am actually going for the last one..

The red really helps you focusing on the face, and the blue smaller hairdo is very pleasing to see while you are looking there anyway :)

The hair going over his face looks like it could be his eye too. Maybe you can modify it in a way so it can not be seen as an eye? It looks very weird if you are not looking closely :(

Furthermore I find the pose a bit strange.
In a good way actually, but I think you can clarify the shape of the body with a bit of animation, I really hope to see some :)

I agree with lollige.
The hair on the other side also looks a bit like a nose. Together, the "eye" and the "nose" make it look like he is sad and staring at the ground.

Really cool character anyways.

To me, it looks like his lower back is snapped.

Waaay too much airhump if you ask me.

The legs and torso look like they belong to different poses.
"Baboy" is Filipino for pig.
