Hey Turner.

Well, for one thing, the outlines are really messy. Try and make them smooth and symmetrical, like one pixel thick. For tutorials and stuff, check the tools and tutorials thread in the General Discussion area.

I think that's the first thing you need to do, and then it will be easier to give crits on it.

See you at school tomorrow XD

It's pillow shaded. I know you probably don't know what that means, but basically, it's shading your piece like it's a pillow. It starts with dark shading on the outside and then goes lighter inside. Unless you're pixelling a pillow, you shouldn't do it. I suggest you define a lightsource, and just try and shade as if it were a real thing.

But it's getting better.

Now I have to go pee and make some hot chocolate.

I think you have the right idea with the shading on the guy, esp the head, but it's hard to see.
You need much more contrast between the lighter and the darker shades of your color. For the brightest shades, it may be a good to reduce the saturation too. To show you what I mean:

And like Evan said, clean up the outlines to be 1 pix thick.

tbc, i suggest more contrast still. It looks better, but still not too good. Try searching google for some shading and line tutorials, so you can get the curves and things like that looking better.

You might want to have a look into tut section here. There are tons of tutorials for the basics...
Drawing and pixelling are quite similar(I know I know this could be a discussion in itself) so you might want to practise on paper with a pencil...
So there's no edit from me - just some smart-assing...
