Lowpoly Soup

(1/2) > >>

ptoing:
Wanna get (back) into 3D stuff so I will just dump my lowpoly efforts here.
Crits welcome.

Jakten:
Wow, this is looks great. Makes me wish I had some noodles in the house..

As for crits, maybe next time make the soup texture a bit bigger and the circular contents smaller. just so that you don't have such a large surface pixelated and smaller areas more detailed.
Not that it would make much difference from a distance though.

Definately look forward to seeing more!

QuickSilva:
I disagree, I think the scale is spot on and a unique subject makes it fun to look at. Great colours too. Keep them coming Ptoing! Maybe your U-Head character would look good in lowpoly hint, hint ;)

I really must make some more lowpoly work myself. I think that it is good practice to make 3D models as it can help you with your forms\lighting in your 2D art.

Jason.

Helm:
I agree with Jakten that the aa and pixel tech in the soup texture loose meaning when you place them at an angle on a 3d surface contoured by sharp 3d vectors. It's like resolution clash in regular pixel art. I think that if Sven tried this with flatshades it would actually look much better.

madPXL:
very nice ptoing I want to eat noodles now :(

maybe you can add some smokes with alpha, no ?
