working on an avatar/pixel dump

on: September 19, 2008, 10:19:18 pm
Hello. Im a little nervous to post, as im still really not that good at pixelart. This is one of my better pixels, but there are probably some blaring problems i didn't notice while making it, i would like to avoid a complete overdo. That said, i want hard crits because theres something im not getting and i want to know!

Well, here we go:

Nine colors.

New:

10 colors, 11 with transparency.
Fixed AA, made transparent.
Crit your heart out!

Funny, i didn't think about the material at all when i was making it. Its supposed to be rock, i guess. But thats a good point, and gold would suit the theme better. Ill try to sharpen the highlights, and convert the old as well too see how it looks as rock. Thanks!  :D

Okay, i did it, heres the progress:

changed the size to 34x34, changed AA, fixed cheeks.
The gray looked really bad, so i went with your suggestion and it looks a lot better. Thanks.
Also, i tried to make the AA so it looked good on both the grays in the background, do you think it works?
heres the WIP animation:

Sorry for double post, i thought its okay since i have an update. If not i apologize, and it wouldn't happen again.
