<grumbles>

 So, um, I'm sort of apprehensive about this, seeing as everyone here is so hardcore awesome, and I'm, sorta, not, knawaddamean? Anyways, rip this apart I guess, I want mostly to know about my shading, that being the biggest thing on my pixel to-do list.

A 25 year old dude in the year 2010, member of the local medieval warfare recreation dudes (MWRD, to you peasants ;D) hefting a nice wee-er, huge sword.

Hokaye. This is pixelart^.That is a nice pixel you might say. Round?- I mean, uh, blow me away with C+C please!

 ???

Anyway, here are some tips:

Let us see it without the outline.   Makes it crappy.
His left hand looks messy, clean it up, get the shape right, then add a shade at a time, get each new shade right before adding next.
Use dithering style you have on sword more , it is cool
Use wrinkles on pants less, they aren't so cool when there are so many
Face is good, cross hanging is good, vest is good.

great work.

<Er, refferance to a flash video called "the end of the world"- or something to that effect. Please excuse my obscure refferancing. ;D>

<That made my day, Lief. ;) I'm glad you like the vest, it's my favorite part. Anyways, I'll reply in a bit with the edits you suggested, thanks.>

I love that taterman! The idea is so perfect; a planet/nation of spuds. Your color choice for the spudian is so awesome, and uses some great earthy tones. Also great work on the aa. I think its a bit strange that he looking up, because his stance makes him seem like he is bored, so the eye should be looking down, or straight out at nothing. And a small bit on his outline; the tip of his lip looks very pointed, and might look better if it was a tad longer and more rounded.

Great original stuff. Great job!

It's a watermark silly ;D Plus, I like to use these as avatars and signatures at differant sites. Anywho, which leg are you reffering to?

Well, you know, when your bored theres not much to look at, so he decided his eyebrows needed attention. I'll cut a pixel off his lip, too, thats good advice.
