I just thought... thats what I enjoy most about pixel art. you can only create good pixel art by design? not by experiment, nor accident? it takes a true artist to produce good pixel art! :D

so I thinks... maybe i'm just dumb... but nm...

anyhows sorry to go off topic. :-\

Silver: I've been enjoying your progress on your sprite and portrait for a bit now and I gotta say I love the colours and comical pose he has. Something bothers me about the portrait though. I feel like his chin has been lost in that beard whereas the sprite version doesn't look so brutal. His arms and hair could use with some selout and aaing.. kind of blocky atm. His chest looks like it's been stitched together and... well... look at my simplistic edit to see the rest. (A mirror tool was used to quicken my edit for you.) Keep in mind as well that I don't do sprites myself so anything I say or do make be held against me for being an idiot.

takacin... what are you trying to do? It's not pixel art... it's not even within size requirements

After I read what this all was actually for, I decided to start working on my own fighter sprite;

I'll work on the coloured version next, and portrait after that. .

Portraits are evil, I don't feel like doing one.  >:(
