The fighter is done but I need to so some work on the portrait, I like the jacket but the face looks really rough.

well i tried to mimic your folds, scubasteve, and apply that to the rest of the body and i think it came out nicely :) and i also redid the hair

gonna work on portrait now

I can see what you're talking about with the folds but since his legs aren't bent, wouldn't you NOT see the folds especially not so defined? I mean his legs are straight so folds wouldn't be made right?

I think it's the fabric being pulled to the sides... the only way it could do that is if he was splitting his legs apart, like half splits.  If the wind is blowing it, then the folds on one leg are correct and the other side should match the same direction.  Otherwise it should probably pull fro his belt down since that's the tightest place, or if it's dangling on the ground, it could ruffle a bit down there.
