Water tile; help!

on: August 19, 2008, 09:15:33 am
Hi guys;

I was working on a water tile to improve my water skills (that seems like something from 'avatar' xD)
Anyway; a friend of mine said it didn't really had the look of water and that it wasn't the effect of water.
So that's why I wanted to ask how I can improve it and tell me what the technique is ^^

Thanks alot!

That kind of a ripple effect is what you get in a small pool of water, where the evenness and closeness of the sides of the pool causes the ripples coming from all directions to constantly collide with each other. You can get that effect on the sea or a lake if the wind suddenly stops and the waves start to lose their form, but that's an exception. So, solid waves, clearly going in one direction is what I'd suggest.
