Made some kind of flame demon thing  and as you can see it's not finished yet. It still needs some kind of cave background ? (don't know yet about it.) and a bit beter flames  C&C please. Heh heh... mine first topic in here  oh and btw. the image will be half of that it is now. sry. for my bad english

You should do a cave background for sure but let's fix up the flame demon first.
You're using dithering to show depth and it's working against you. Dithering is the devil! Use full colors to make form.
Also you lack a source of light. Shading will be really easy when you pick your light source and you already have those torches! :]

Here is an quick update is it beter than worser ? (changed the ugly face a bit and made fireballs to hands oh and other flames aren't by the way finished yet  )
