Tiles preview

on: July 14, 2008, 08:26:55 am
Hi,

I'm using Mac and Photoshop. What is the easiest way to test how different tiles match to each other? So far I have used "define pattern + fill" or moving layers one by one next to each other, which is quite slow, since at some point I have dozens of layers named "wall1, wall2, wall3, floor1, floor2, floor3, door1, door2" etc. I have understood (never tested though) that in Promotion there is some kind of tile-preview option available? Are there any plug-ins for photoshop?

Thanks.

In photoshop, make a smart object the size of your tile, then dublicate it around as you would a finished tile. When you edit the smart object and save it, it will be ubdated also in all the dublicates.
