Flowing Water

on: July 13, 2008, 11:10:56 am
Now I'm still learning Pixel Art, and I made some water animations by following a tutorial from Gas13.ru

The 1st one actually is cropped from the 2nd one  :P

And this is what it looks like when used~

The ship wasn't drawn by me, just used for decorating  :)

C+C please, and Thanks!

It reads like you have one static image underneath, and then another image scrolling to the left on top of it. You should probably try to make it more fluid.

Can you give me an example?  ::)
Thanks!  ;D

There are probably hundreds of good examples of wavy water animation and this is just one of them, one that I happened to think of first.

Check the video at 3:21

Simple but works ok.

It looks messy, noisy. Ande there also seems to be static waves, and just moving particles. Last but not least you can clearly see where the tile loops. Remove the particles and it's a good start to continue from.

Thanks! For your all suggestions  :)
(Maybe this type of flowing water only suitable for river or such~ Not suitable for the Big Blue Sea  ::))
