Commodore 64 style graphics

What do the experts here think? Is this close to the original C64 limitations or not? Obviously it would be better to pixel by hand.

Well, the C64 had another limitation that a 8x8 square can only feature 4 distinct colours. I don't know whether this will be taken into account with that method.

500x310?? That would be 250x155, whereas the C64 has a res of 320x200 (160x200 with widepixels).

And Pype is right, there is a 3colours + global background limitation in Multicolor Bitmap Mode.

So this tutorial can pretty much be filed under nostalgic retro crap without any  regards to authenticity.

agree.  a tutorial that teaches you to scale images and make fake pixel art?  that's just idiotic.

if you feel like doing it, though, Timanthes converts art more effectively and with regard to the restrictions. :|
