[WIP] i want booty

pirate game i'm starting.  c&c por favor.

i played around with colors a lot as you can see.  mostly having trouble making shiny coins (those yellow plastic dixie plates.)  the sprite isn't always going to be naked, but i want him to work that way.  i'm probably going to scrap those tiny ones and just focus on the larger sprites.  i think i'm getting a little better using colors, but help is still very appreciated.

 The coin to the left looks ok to me. Might need some more light reflecting on it, though.

 The kid looks well done, though not my personal style preference.

 Why does he have hooves for feet though?

 Also the outline switches from black to dark red for no reason. Doesn't follow the light source or anything.
