What about if for 24 hours everyone makes as many 64x64 images that they can and we use these tiles instead of pixels in a separate image.
The first stage will be easy, final assembly might be a hassle.

A patchwork like that would be easier than the iso collab but could still produce quite interesting results.

That's a nice idea. Unless someone comes up with something else, let's run with this.

My birthday is in January! ...but I guess that doesn't matter anymore. lol

So, pixel day is on August 8th, huh?

I like the idea of making something with restrictions revolving around the number 8. Maybe like 8 tones/colors worked into an 80x80 area?

The Pixel-god thing is fun. How about we make a pixel image depicting our version of the Pixel-god?  ;D

wouldnt it be easier to do it in reverse and in two steps?

first we run a contest, to choose the image of which we're gonna make a composite.

Everyone pixels...something in 8 x8 x8 restrictions, we run a poll and someone wins.

once we've done that, we run a collab sort of like the iso one, only that which each "spot" corresponds to a pixel of the original image.

Each must make an image of any restrictions, only the average color must be that of his corresponding tile.

how's dat?

hrmm..I just put a liiitle bit more thought into this

Say we chose to make something incredibly small like 8x8. that would generate 64 spots for the latter collab!

Say we chose something like 16x16, that would be 256 spots for the latter collab.....

both those 2 numbers are incredibly small, so the first stage of the competition would be kinda...awkward, can you just imagine post after post of pieces smaller than our emoticons?

8x8 could even be fun cause I think most of use are used to work much much higher than that.

Then, what about the colors? there's the obvious, that we use the multiples of 8: 8, 16, 32....64.....as we always have.

But is there a way to make thetones themselves ruled by number 8? I think we need the help of Ptoing on that one!
