Actually, I was going for the 'crotch-rocket' joke with a literal twist. 83

But I already own one of those, you won't be selling much in that case.

Of course it is, I will give a nice description on how it works/looks in full detail:

What kind of forum do you think we run? Will you ever think of the children who hang around this forum?

Oh and by the way it's spelled lecherous not leecherouse.

I would think a grid like this would be a better approximation of hexagonal pixels:

That's more like octagonal or whatever the word is.

The pixels themselves aren't exactly hexagons, but they tessellate more like hexagons, which I think would ensure the result looks less like rotated pixel art.

Ah zephiel87 you got there before me. I'd been trying out different hexagonally-tessellating patterns such as these tiny 'T' shapes:

(terrible art I know, it was just an experiment)

But your blob pattern works much nicer. I guess the pixels have to be roughly square or round for them to be useful.

Based on this, you could reduce the size of your blobs even more and get the same pattern:

I think having the hixels touching diagonally and vertically works better than diagonally and horizontally (like ptoing's original pattern), if only because it makes isometric stuff much easier. I'll have to try doing some iso work on this 2x2 hixel grid...
