Helm: Indeed

Faceless: I did not write the original rules, which state that you can reserve 1 tile/block of same coloured tiles, but not tiles all over the place.
I really do not see what the problem is. Instead of complaining you could just work on the tile you originally claimed and then if there are tiles still left or open up again you can claim again. Also organising this is enough work as is so please bear with me. Thanks.

there might be something to be said for the fact that the previous collab was barely organized but highly successful.  Administration of a project like this where everyone wants it to look good is as hard (or easy) a job as you want it to be.

The same mistake twice is a bad habit.
The same mistake three or more times is a motif.

I'll take 111 if it's still open.
Perhaps people should just PM you when they let go of a tile so you can post that it's open, for better organization? That way there is no one claiming tiles before you're aware of them being open?

It also took a long-ass time because people just disappeared without doing their tiles and such

The last one took like 6 month. This one is not even running for 1 month and is pretty much halfway done. So much about organising.
There happened a few things in the last one I do not wanna happen in this because they were more or less unfair. Anyway, I am organising this, and I am trying to be as fair as possible. However if I organise the 5th incarnation of this, the rules will be quite a bit clearer.

And now people get cracking on your tiles, damnit!

continuing OT - who *really* cares about a few unfair things and a long time period?  plus, if anyone does really care, i'm sure there's a happy medium.  not to mention that the popularity (and therefor speed) of this one is probably more due to an active userbase and the success of the previous projects than any organization (no offense).

Anyway, if you're really stressed out trying to keep things tight and timely, the "need" for that is unclear.  What real benefits are derived from you killing yourself over rules?  I'm not saying this to be all anarchy yay, i'm saying this to attempt to preserve your sanity.

I mean it's not THAT stressy. But I find it offensive when people do not even seem to bother reading rules for something they take part in. If people were reading them there would be no problem in the first place. Enough of this discussion tho, I have a toothache and will go to bed soon.
