Poe (teletubbies) - First Real Pixel Art/Animation

Thought i'd sign up to some forums . Made a few in the past (several) but they all suck
looked up some tutorials on youtube and this is the result after learning how to structure an animation

Is there anything specific you want people to critique?

For the sprite, I think it would help with more shading and contrast to establish Poe's shape, so he doesn't look like a cardboard cut-out. You have used a 2 shades of red on the body (i think) and a few more on the hands), but it's not very visible and doesn't do a lot to show whether he's more of a flat shape or a round ball.

For the animation, I guess you could try exaggerating the movement a bit more, and exaggerating the delay and momentum from the moment he turns his hips to the moment his arms move. It also seems a bit weird to lift the weapon over his head after striking. I'm not good at animations tho.
