[Beginner] x0adam0x's Progress.

on: March 12, 2008, 05:33:29 am
Well with my failed attempt at a Tree and grass I thought I'd drop a lot of what I know right now and re-read all the tutorials in the Linkage thread, Not only that but I'll be saving pixelations like a mad man to study them.

I'll be posting every piece pixel art I create weather or not it sucks or not, Everything will go in here.

So to start this off.

Tremble in fear! It's my L33t ball!!  >:(

I'm trembling! Your L33t ball appears to have little form!

it's just not how we shade a ball , I did a little edit for you , it will introduce you to ambient lightning , and help you get a more realistic look :

so first dont forget to outline your ball with the darkest color and AA your ball with the background and the inside , and also dont just throw colos like that use some dithering between to enchance the realistic look . and dont forget the shadows follow the curves of the ball , the ball is not flat .
as for ambient lightning i hope this will help :

Okay i dont have much time to fully explain it but if you have any question go ahead ,
hope i helped  ;) .
