Running Animation

on: February 15, 2008, 02:38:20 am
I'm new here, but not new to Pixeling.
Just wanted some critique for my newest animation:

Some head turn movement is what I am looking for, as I have tried and failed.
(And don't worry, I am not an annoying newbie who won't take critique.  :y:)

Other then the head, i personally think the body is turning while running is okay, but it always turns to the right, then turns to the left half as much.
Nuuuuuuuuuuuuu

I think I see what you mean, I'll get to fixing it.
And if anyone could provide an edit with head motion I'd greatly appreciate it.  :P

Its looking pretty good so far.

However, when his right leg is fully forward, it looks like its turned into his left leg. Also, the red on the nose and the shoes doesn't look great to me, couldn't you use brown?

I agree it needs head rotation. Search for Baccaman21's posts, he explained the head turning. Think you just need three head versions, and just turn right when the right arm is fully back, turn left when left arm is fully back.
Modern artists are told that they must create something totally original-or risk being called "derivative".They've been indoctrinated with the concept that bad=good. The effect is always the same: Meaningless primitivism
