Tree

on: February 23, 2008, 03:00:50 am
I'm hoping I can get some help with doing trees. I've been unable to find any good tutorials so i've been studying other work to see how it's done, however it never turned out right so after messing around some more, I came up with this (and yes it was mirrored to make the other side):

Now this tree is going to be used with other buildings like so (isometric):

I think I got the trunk alright, but leaves i've never been good with. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

that tree isnt even bad :P!
it just depends at what angle its supposed to be...is it supposed to be iso? then you need to change the trunk ;p thats all

i revently made a tree too again, i love doing trees XD
but i can give you a really important advice, never mirror the sides <.<
keep it as unique as possible

as you can see i didnt really finish the treetop XD but thats ok :3!
trunks are always a bitch XD because you have to make them look plastic, not just like a piece of paper which is the case of your trunk, theres lighting missing :O! and maybe put more effort in the wood-texture :p!
