I think the main skin color is really way too gray and dark. Maybe you could lighten it up a bit and make it a little more saturated, or make the other other color a bit darker.

I don't think that sprites should be skewed like that.
If it weren't for the hair, I would think that the girl was a two-dimensional figure stuck in a three-dimensional world.

I don't get your point

Hey, this is by Mirre:

Its using some black outlines and some colored outlines like yours. Never figured out how to do that properly, but maybe how the black outline was less broken and also black less likely to be used on top could improve your piece.

Is the back view her waving her hand?

@sharprm: yes, she is on the frames 2, 3 and 4. I'll try to modify the black outlines

EDIT: I've edited the elder and made 2 faces form the woman and the old lady

Some edits:

You know when she is standing - her right arm is on her hip and her right leg is forward. It looks awkward, and when i try to do that pose myself it feels funny. So maybe the left leg should be forward. On the 5th frame on back, it is a big change in the size of the hair, might want it more consistent (with black in there too for consistency). I like the portraits so far, especially the old guys expression.  :D

I don't know what your restrictions are but maybe add a few colors to AA the portraits with. You might also want to play around with the contrast and saturation. I think it needs a little more.
