There's a thread with all sorts of tools in the general forum, it's stickied...

I advice GraphicsGale...

I second, but if you use FreeEdition, be prepared try and find alternative ways to assemble the animation.
The people here are probably taking their time.
What's a TBD?
nobody here take part in my activity, i'm so disappointed.
i'm a Chinese, also comes from asian, nice to meet u.
I think the "TBD" means "not sure". :P

calm down ya crazy bastard, I doubt 80% of the people on this forum have the animating knowledge and technique to do a transformer that they would be willing to post on here and not be ashamed. Animating is the hardest thing to do with pixel art, have some patience.
I have to agree. By the way, are there any pixelling animating tutorials? Or studies? Anything on pixel animation at all? I have been unsuccessful looking for them, and so far, any knowledge on animation I have is through common sense or experimentation.

Camus also posted in the Tools & tutorials posted an animation program that he used to use, which he indicated was a decent animation program.

I don't know of any pixel animation tutorials, but googling for the principles of animation should yield some helpful sites.

And if you really want to learn animation in depth, I have an e-book copy of "Richard William's The Animator's Survival Guide."

He worked for Disney and did a lot of their early animation. If you're interested, feel free to PM me.

It's the Animator's Survival Kit, not guide, and I recall Williams worked for Warner Bros, not Disney (He did "Who framed roger rabbit" I believe)

Nice entries. It's too bad there were not more participants. I was overwhelmed and didn't have much time for this.

Is the contest over? Is there a winner?
